Ice Breaker Salt
Ice Breaker is a powerful blend of four natural occurring chlorides: sodium chloride, calcium chloride, potassium chloride, and magnesium chloride. This blend increases effectiveness, which means the rate of application is greatly reduced compared to other road salts.
This also makes Ice Breaker safer for melting snow and ice on concrete, asphalt, metal, and around children, animals or vegetation.
The pink hue makes it easy for visual spreading and helps eliminate overlapping. Ice Breaker also has uniform gradation and fine material to provide longer lasting performance.
Ice Breaker’s blend of chlorides and 50 other trace materials allow it to melt to lower temperature, working effectively to 0-degrees. This blend of minerals is also 70% less corrosive than traditional white road salt.
Since Ice Breaker is a mined salt, unlike some solar salts, it has superior density, homogeneity, and moisture content.
Bulk Treated Rock Salt
We have treated rock salt in a couple different formats.
One type is treated with IceBan®, Magnesium Chloride and YPS with a blue dye. IceBan® is the original organic corrosion-inhibited solution. Anti-icing and de-icing with IceBan® will raise your service level, prevent snow and ice bonds and lower your costs. When used to treat salt stockpiles, efficiency is improved by 100%. A proven performer, IceBan® is used wherever conditions are the most extreme. Its effectiveness and special green properties make it an environmentally safe product and ideal for a wide range of winter maintenance applications. Melting point around -10 Degrees.
We also have another option made with YPS, Liquid Magnesium Chloride, and Potassium Acetate, dyed BLUE. Melting point around 0 Degrees.
